I JUST STARTED BOW HUNTING THIS YEAR I SOLD MY CROSSBOW AND GOING TO TRY THE COMPOUND.  I TOOK MY BOW HAD THE DRAW LENGTH FIT TO ME AND THE GUY CENTERED MY PINS FOR ME TO START SIGHTING IT IN.  WHEN I STARTED SHOOTING EVERY ARROW WAS GROUPING IN ABOUT A 2.5 IN CIRCLE AT 20, 30, 40 YDS. I FIND IT CRAZY THAT HE MOVED THE SIGHTS TO LINE THEM BACK LIKE FACTORY.  WHAT KINDA OF GROUP SHOULD I LOOK FOR?

That sounds like a great start ,are the arrows flying like darts or are they fishtaling ?I say as long as they are flying good and grouping good then what else can you ask for??

Your groups will tighten up the more you practice. Like Jason said, if your arrows are flying good, its just a matter of practice.

I agree with Jason and Josh, practice will help you become more consistent.  It will also allow you to see if you need to "micro adjust" any of your pins so that when you put your pin on a spot, the arrow hits that spot.  That is what I call "Dead On."  By "micro adjust," I mean move pins/sight housing extremely small until it is hitting at the exact spot that you aim at.

I wouldn't suggest doing this until you are very comfortable with shooting, adjusting equipment and if you are satisfied with what you have setup right now.  There is an old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" If it works for you then that is all that counts!  Good luck this season!
